This issue marks the completion of the first year run of this magazine. Each issue has been a challenge. I’d say the most challenging part has been fitting in as many topics as possible since there are so many topics relevant to the construction of sheds, garages, and carports. It became obvious to us early on that we couldn’t address all the subjects we wanted to address in just four issues per year. So, next year that challenge will be alleviated a bit; we are adding two more issues to the schedule. Instead of publishing four issues per year, we’ll be publishing six issues of Garage, Shed & Carport Builder.
Another change you’ll see in 2021 is we’re replacing the Product Profiles with more in-depth Product Features that will include tips, tricks, and best practices from product manufacturers and builders. We figure you’ll be able to use the best practices information more than .
You’ll find a hearty “catalog” of Product Profiles in this, the Buyers’ Guide issue. We’ll bring back the Product Profiles in the April edition next year. Some of you builders will have the chance to show off your builds in that issue, too; watch for details in the January issue.
While the time remaining in 2020 is short, you can always make article suggestions by giving me a call, or dropping me an email or postal message. (See p. 3.)
By the way, our January 2021 edition will be a preview of the First Annual Garage, Shed & Carport Builder Show in South Bend, Indiana, February 4-5. I’m itching to go to another trade show where I can chat with manufacturers and builders in person. I hope to see you there!
Until next time, be well.
